Angela is Director of Finance at Cook Medical, the world’s largest privately held Medical Device Manufacturer with 12,000 employees globally. She has worked for Cook Medical in Limerick since May 1998 and has played a key role of the phenomenal growth experienced by the company. She currently holds Global Finance SSC responsibility, having being instrumental in establishing the EMEA multi-lingual Shared Service Centre in Limerick in 2004.
Her Ireland and US based finance team of sixty five people manages Global Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expenses and GL Management. Angela’s responsibility in EMEA alone is to manage Finance Operations for hospitals and clinics in 17 direct sales countries, over one hundred EMEA distribution partners and 600 field based employees. Angela is a member of the Global Finance Leadership team & is an advocate of consistent global processes and management reporting. Angela has championed many successful global projects around the core themes of Automation, Standardisation & “Right First time” initiatives.
Angela is also a member of Cook Medical‘s long serving & successful Senior Management team which employs 850 people in Limerick and a further 60 in the European Distribution Centre, Germany.
Prior to joining Cook Medical, Angela worked for AIB Bank Headquarters, Dublin and GMX, part of the Krups Moulinex group in Thurles in varying Financial roles. Angela holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from the University of Limerick and is a Fellow of the ACCA.
