Dr. Mark Ostwald is CEO of Freudenberg Medical, which is part of the Freudenberg Group. Dr. Ostwald previously served as Chief Technology Officer of Freudenberg Medical and is part of the Management Board of the company. Since joining Freudenberg Medical, Dr. Ostwald has held multiple key leadership roles including President of Europe and Head of the Minimally Invasive Solutions business unit and Vice President and General Manager of the Silicones business unit in California. Prior to joining Freudenberg Medical, Dr. Ostwald served as a management consultant with Arthur D. Little, specializing in manufacturing industries and innovation management. Dr. Ostwald earned a Ph.D in Economics from the Technical University of Darmstadt and has completed several leadership programs at INSEAD. Dr. Ostwald worked at Freudenberg Medical in Galway, Ireland for 5 years and relocated to Boston, MA with his family in 2022.
