Michael Lohan



Michael Lohan is a member of IDA’s Executive Leadership Team with global responsibility for LifeSciences (Biopharmaceutical and Medical Technologies) and organizational lead on Talent, Transformation and Innovation agenda at IDA Ireland.

Michael leads on the development and execution of organizational and divisional strategies across the Lifesciences sector in addition to evolving Irelands value proposition on Talent, Transformation and Innovation to enable and support foreign direct investment.

Michael joined IDA Ireland in 2003 and has held various management positions in Medical Technologies, Strategic Property, Corporate Planning, and Operations. Michael represents IDA in several fora including the SSPC research centre for pharmaceuticals and the Irish Medical Association which is the business association within IBEC representing the medical devices and diagnostics sector.

Prior to joining IDA Ireland, Michael held a number of different positions including Manager for New Business Solutions with Nortel’s European Operations in Galway and a management role with IEC Electronics European Operations.

Michael is an Engineering graduate and holds an MSc in Technology Management from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
