Sue-Jean Lin is an accomplished global business leader across a diverse set of corporate functions including information technology, finance, risk management, commercial operations and digital transformation. Sue-Jean brings deep strategic and operational leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to drive higher business performance. Her career in the life sciences industry spans over 30 years where she has driven enterprise growth and business turnarounds across multiple continents. Sue-Jean is recognized as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 C-suites and board members and qualifies as a financial expert.

Sue-Jean is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Information & Transformation Officer at Alcon. She is a member of the executive committee and executive leadership team. Alcon was a $7B business carve-out from Novartis and went public in April 2019. She led initiatives that aggregated $1B to stand up new organizational capabilities, global technological infrastructure and ERP/SAP, HR, R&D core systems globally. Sue-Jean is working closely with the executive team to cultivate a new company culture, transform core business processes, define/develop new business models, and continuously improve product and services for this global eye care leader.

Previously, Sue-Jean was a member of the Hill-Rom (now Baxter International) executive leadership, serving in the capacity of Senior President & Chief Information Officer. She was Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer for Allergan (now Abbvie) during a time when the company experienced hyper-growth with its breakthrough innovations in Ophthalmology, Neurosciences and Medical Aesthetic business with its Botox Cosmetic indication. At Allergan, Sue-Jean also served as the region CFO for Allergan’s Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific commercial operations. Sue-Jean was on Allergan’s subsidiary boards in Ireland, United Kingdom and Italy and was responsible for financial planning, accounting and the tax strategy implementation.

Sue-Jean won the National Orbie Year of CIO award in 2022 in the Global category and was a winner of Dallas Orbie CIO award in 2021 in the Super Global category. She has also earned awards from Computerworld, CIO Magazine, UCLA Anderson Business School. She collaborated with the MIT Center for Informational Systems Research (CISR) and published several research briefings.

Sue-Jean has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a member of the Arcutis Biotherapeutics board of directors, a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and has earned the NACD’s CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity oversight.
